Sui Generis

A long-term project rooted in my home territory of French Guiana, a land at the crossroads of Amazonia, the Caribbean, and Europe. The work explores themes of belonging, parenthood, and the imaginary of a place that resists easy definition.

The project had its early exhibition at Soleils Noirs, presented in Rio de Janeiro as part of FotoRio 2025, supported by “Maison de la Photographie Guyane-Amazonie” (MAZ). As an upcoming laureate of the Foto Kontré program (2025–2026), I will be pursuing this exploration further through a residency in Guiana later in 2026.
